Emerging Young Leaders (EYL) is the 2010-2014 signature program of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. for middle school girls. The program consists of four academies that are designed to extend the vision of the Sorority by cultivating and encourage high scholastic achievement. These academies are:
- Leadership Development
- Educational Enrichment
- Civic Engagement
- Character Building
The Emerging Young Leaders Program will develop skills and talents of middle school girls with potential for becoming leaders within their community and the world.
Upsilon Alpha Omega Chapter has chosen Summerour Middle School as our partner for the 2013 EYL program. Summerour Middle School is located in Norcross and is under the direction of Principal Dorothy Parker Jarrett.
